Let's see ..... what is new and exciting ....

I finally watched Reservoir Dogs tonight which friends have been bugging me to watch for awhile now. I had read the screenplay years ago so I knew most of the scenes already, however watching it was well worth it for the soundtrack that accompanies the story. I won't be able to hear "Stuck in the Middle with You" for awhile without seeing Michael Madsen in my head.

I've been reading the Bhagavad Gita for the past couple months and I'll admit I'm enjoying it thoroughly. I don't read large sections of it at a time though, I'll read a few pages and think about it for awhile. It echoes a lot of what I've read in other books I call "Books of Wisdom" ... The Bible, for instance. There is a lot of similar wisdom which I find interesting. I need to read Siddhartha sometime as well .... I've got too many books to read and not enough time.

We bought MarioKart for the Wii a couple weeks back and it has been a blast. Mario Brothers was the first video game I ever played when I was a kid. I used to play it at a friends house. I wanted to save up money to buy a Nintendo, but my mom thought I didn't need it so I never did. Now I kinda wish I had. Not that it was a big deal, but you know, it would have sealed the deal on me being a geek *laughs*

Temperature has started to heat up so I know the humidity can't be far behind .... here is to Georgia Summer '08 ... maybe I'll actually get a tan this time ...

"Stuck in the Middle" with you is kinda my song. Well glad to hear you finally saw it. what did you think?

Whoa, you're not exactly reading Harry Potter books or anything on Oprah's book list. kudos to you. I myself need a book with lots of pictures. pictures of gals. naked gals.

The temps in Los Angeles have been mild the past two weeks. I'm dreading this weekend's 20-30 degree jump to 97-100.

1) Yeah, I love it ... pm me about a song called "Stuck in a Room with R2". I liked the film, though Mr. Orange almost drove me up the wall with his non-stop babble. I thought it was .... quintissential Terentino ... heavy dialogue, heavy violence, heavy language ... but most of the actors I liked so that was all good. Chasing Amy is on my list for later this week :)

2) Nah, I got through my phases of wanting to read serious stuff, I've read plenty of Harry Potter and fluff novels, but every once in awhile I like something meatier. Naked gals? Try a photography book on lighting nudes ;)

3) Ugh, amen, I've been watching our weather reports avidly, it is to the 80's this week which means the 105 degree weather isn't that far off. Ugh.

1. I enjoy Mr. Orange's dialogue, esp. when he looks at the joke and says "I got to memorize all of this?". But of course, my fav is Mr. Blonde, so hence my handle. it's pretty much stuck with me since high school.

2. I usually skip the book and go to the movies. ;)

3. Yeah, you beat me with the humidity. I don't envy you on that one.

1) Yeah, I enjoyed Tim Roth in this film as well, since the first 2 films I ever saw him in were 4 Rooms and Rob Roy. Yeesh. Oh yeah, Blondie is my favorite, i knew he would be before I even watched the movie ... "You keep talking like a bitch, I'm gonna slap you like one" *grin*

2) *laughs*

3) Ugh, what sucks about it is that I am used to this humidity from Illinois. It was awful there and then when we moved to N.C., it was nonexistent, it rocked. Then when I moved down to GA, ta da! Humidity again. Dammit. *laughs*

1. In high school, the guys I hung with adopted the names with Jules as Mr. White since he was the level headed one, my other pal was Mr. Orange since he never rattled, and since I was the psycho...Mr Blonde.

2. Baw chicka baw baw.

3. Screw all that noise. I've just done the pure heat in Az and that was quite cruddy.
